Go Wild on All Kinds of Terrain in OVERPASS

Racing and Vehicle Sims have never looked so satisfying…or precarious.

We’ve all seen the plethora of racing games throughout the years, each trying to top the other with visuals and that hard-to-attain sense of real speed. But Overpass chucks all of that in the bin and gives a new focus to the genre. Equipped with 25 different off-road vehicles created by several real-world companies, you must choose the right one to navigate the hilly and difficult tracks. While speed is just as vital for these races as any, dexterity on the dirt and rock is even more so. It will take more than just a lead foot to even reach the finish line.

Each of the tracks are meticulously designed with the mindset of balancing challenge with innovation, so that the goal is not only to win each race, but overcoming obstacles as well. Both two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles are equipped with damage models. If the player builds too much speed or careens off a cliff, it could hurt their chances of completing the race. Players also must choose their vehicle wisely, as one will be more useful than another for each race.

There are plenty of ways to play Overpass. The Career mode allows for much of what you’d expect from a simulation game: winning races and competitions, attracting sponsors, and developing your overall reputation. Players can also revert back to the good ol’ days of couch gaming with friends in local play, or jump into Quick Race to try out tracks and vehicles. Lastly, and likely most importantly for many people, there is the online Multiplayer mode in which up to 8 players can compete in races to prove their maneuvering prowess.

Overpass is available now on PC through the Epic Games Store for $39.99 USD, $49.99 CAD. You can purchase the four current DLC packs separately, or grab the Deluxe Edition to net you the base game and three of the four packs (except the Yamaha Special Pack). The full list of DLC is:

    • Yamaha Special Pack: Includes two additional Yamaha vehicles.
    • Expert Vehicles Pack: Includes three vehicles, each used for especially difficult terrain.
    • Smart Start Pack: Immediately start Overpass with a sponsor for the Career mode along with three repair kits.
    • Drive With Style: Includes a custom skin for the Polaris RZR XP Turbo S quad and a matching outfit.

While Overpass is only out for PC currently, it will become available for purchase on March 17th, 2020 in North America for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
